You can also put him in this particular space after eating or at regular times within the day. Establish routine as this is also one way to effectively train pets.

Another thing that you need to consider in caring for a cat is of course, feeding them. You may find a lot of foods in your vet's clinic or in your local pet store but you have to be watchful of the things and the food that you cat can find at home. You have to make sure also that other family members do not feed them with foods that can be harmful to your pet. Among the foods that you have to watch out for are chocolate, onion as well as garlic, as these foods may cause gastrointestinal problems and may weaken your pets as well. Research and check out some healthy foods as well as foods that you have to avoid giving your cats as well.

- Taming their scratching habits. 
Probably one of the frustrating things in caring for a cat is their scratching habit. They can scratch on your new furniture, carpets and anything they can find. If you can't stop them from doing so, then prepare a scratching pole where cats can scratch every time they have the urge to. The thing is, you have to train them to scratch on the post and not your furniture.

- Making them healthy and clean. 
Another challenge in caring for a cat is to make them healthy and clean. Although they have their own way of leaning themselves, you have to also make sure that they are clean enough to be members of your family. Of course, they mingle with kids, and stay on your couch or run in your floor and thus you have to make sure that your house is still clean and healthy even with your cat around.
